PoCoG-CDW-2019-07: Implementing patient reported outcomes, patient preferences and priorities to support improved symptom management and collaborative decision making

Aims: The aims of this project are to:

  • integrate PROMs into clinical care to support clinicians and patients to make supportive care decisions that are in line with patients' values and preferences

  • develop a decision support tool for patients to assist them in identifying and prioritising multiple symptoms

  • evaluate the efficacy of using PROMs and a decision support tool in improving clinical care.

PoCoG-2022-502: Co-designing the iCanBlend Model - a blended psychological therapy intervention model for treating anxiety and depression in the context of cancer

Aim: To co-design and evaluate a cancer-specific BT model for the treatment of anxiety and depression in cancer patients, seeking indications of its feasibility and acceptability. This study will be conducted in three stages and specifically aims to:

  • compile descriptions of curricula currently used in psycho-oncology therapy programs in the form of a draft manual

  • hold co-design workshops with stakeholders to determine the content, format and schedule of a BT model and finalise a BT model manual

  • test the usability of the proposed model.
